About the
Project
"Masjed Masr" — The Islamic Cultural Center and the mosque are located in the center of the government district of the New Administrative Capital. The project has been constructed under the supervision of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces. The area of the mosque is a bit over 19000 square meters. It consists of a prayer hall with an area of about 9,600 square meters and a capacity of 12,000 prayers, topped by an Islamic dome of approximately 30 meters inner diameter. In addition, 6 halls of about 350 square meters each, and topped by smaller domes.
